We are a go for a Launch! Due to the weather and ground conditions, this month’s Launch is scheduled for this Sunday, April 9th @ 9 AM.

It’s been a while since we launched so load’m up and rack’m!

Darn! I was all ready to go !!

Our next Launch is scheduled for March 11, 2017.

We are watching the weather and will make “GO” / “NOGO” call 24 hrs before the launch.  We will use Sunday as an alternative.

Based on the weather this winter it could be 70 and sunny or minus 20 and snowing sideways with thunder and lightning.  Cross your figures.

If the weather is marginal we may do a limited low-mid power Launch to accommodate any TARC teams.

Weather permitting next launch will be February 11th 2017

It looks like we have a great weekend coming up to launch rockets.

We will launch from 9 am to 2 Pm +/-. For us to start launching by 9 am we need all the help we can get.

This is a launch not to be missed!!  NASA will be closing Kennedy Space Center, SPACEX has delayed all launches as everyone will be at our launch.

This is Tri -launch with Central Massachusetts Spacemodeling Society (CMASS) and CATO (AKA; Carefully Arranged Tree Ornaments – AKA; Contraptions Accelerating Toward Orbit – AKA  Crash, Assess, Tantrum, re-Order – AKA;  Consumes Assets allocated To Others).

The Rocket Grill will be back with hot dogs,  hamburgers, chips,  soda and water.

We are going to have a contest for closest rocket landing to the pin.   The Prize………… a  signed copy of Homer Hickman’s “Rocket Boys” the basis for the movie October Sky. 

We will have a trivia contest during the launch to win a few model rockets.

RIMRA is raising money to buy a trailer from this Launch.  Over the past year with money raised from our launches and a grant from NAR we have purchased new wireless launch equipment, new high power pads,  new low/mid power rack stand, safety equipment, public address system and weather station. – Thank-you for all your support!!!!!!
