The forecast keeps improving, so we are planning to launch this Saturday, 5/15, at Peckham Farm. We will start at 9:00. Hope to see you there!

The combination of potential rain and Mother’s day has led us to postpone the launch to next week, May 15. Hope to see you then!

Let’s launch! We are planning to hold the first launch of the year at Peckham Farm on Saturday, April 10. We will start around 9:00 and we will launch until we are out of rocket motors.

Esther’s engines will be onsite to help you burn money (literally!) If you haven’t been a RIMRA launch yet, be prepared to park your vehicle at the farm and walk with your rockets to the center of the field. Feel free to contact us via Facebook with any questions.

It looks like the first launch of the year will be April 10. That means you have one month to finish building and painting your rockets. See you soon on the field!

We will try to launch on the second Saturday of each month. Weather permitting, we will launch on these dates this year:

• May 8
• June 12
• July 10
• August 14
• September 11
• October 9

The scouts will be joining us to launch at 10:00, set-up will be at 9:00 (30 minutes earlier). Esther’s Engines is going to place an Aerotech order on Tuesday (11/10). Email her at esthersengines@gmail.com if you want to special order anything in particular. Prices will be competitive with online retailers and there won’t be any shipping or hazmat charges.

Set up will begin at 9:30. And we will launch until a little after noon. Esther’s Engines will be on-site in case you need any Quest/Aerotech motors.

Per our launch protocols, The Rhode Island Model Rocketry Association (RIMRA) is postponing Saturday’s 10/10 rocket launch due to tomorrow’s high-wind forecast.

Winds are currently forecast to be over 15 MPH at 9 AM and rising to 20 to 30 MPH in the afternoon.

Therefore, we need to scrub tomorrow’s launch and will reschedule until Saturday, October 24^th.   (CMASS currently has a launch scheduled for 17 Oct. – www.cmass.org)
